May 2026 | Investing in Regenerative Agriculture & Food

For the month of May, we focus on investing in Land Stewardship as well as Regenerative Ag and Food. Building a better food system, from the way we shop to the way we invest, affects us all. Healthy and Organic Food can be a win in numerous ways, from supporting farmers to land and water stewardship to our own personal well-being.

Read The Capital Farmers Actually Need for Regenerative Ag by Elizabeth Candelario of Mad Agriculture. And Investing in the Agri-Food Transition: Climate-aligned, water-resilient strategies by Cat Burns of NatureVest at TNC and Ari Swiller of RRG Capital Mgmt. for insight into supporting farmers.

Bees live at the foundation of our food system—but they are imperiled by industrial agriculture. Sarah Red-Laird of Bee Regenerative is helping to revive farm and ranch lands by cultivating healthy and diverse bee habitats. She teaches bee-friendly practices, including cover-cropping, no-till, and reduction of chemical use, which help farmers and ranchers to cultivate both abundant pollinators and healthy soil. The Soil and the Soul – Mad Agriculture – RC Carter, manages a large operation near Ten Sleep, WY. His focus is on grass-fed beef production, and he sees his soil as a microscope into seeing the truth – what is healthy, and what’s not. The land was stewarded by massive herds of bison, but after cattle and sheep herding took over, without proper rest periods for the land, it became severely degraded. Today, Carter sees solutions in addressing water accessibility and regenerative grazing to heal the land while ensuring his cattle business remains profitable and provides healthy food for people.
