Impax Asset Management is celebrating the 50th birthday of the Pax Sustainable Allocation Fund, which launched in August 1971, marking the inception of the Pax World mutual fund family. The Fund was the first publicly available mutual fund in the US to use social and environmental as well as financial criteria in the investment process, and it helped give birth to the Sustainable Investing industry.

Reducing climate risk in portfolios can be accomplished by assessing the climate risk of every investment, building climate-risk assessments into valuation models, and taking steps to minimize exposure to companies and industries that face significant exposure.
